Shakori Carpenter

Born in Florida and raised in North Carolina, I am a (soon to be) graduate from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, earning my bachelor’s degree in architecture.

Over the years, I have cultivated interests in research, aesthetics, style, and all things design-related. I am an ambitious learner who is always searching for a new topic to delve into. Creation should always be multi-disciplinary. This ideology has led me to seek out engaging conversations across a range of disciplines that have pushed the quality and nuance of the work I take part in.

When approaching a project, personally or for architectural work, I strive to be open to all forms of inspiration. Expanding the boundaries of what “architecture” is leads to relevant and impactful dialogues, especially those concerning representation and the human (and non-human) experience. Because of this outlook, I tend to blur the boundaries between physical and digital reality through artistic expression and philosophical examination.
